Emma moved to Cork in 2020 and started working in Imokilly Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, Midleton. Prior to this, she had been living in Dublin and gained extensive experience working in Sports Injury Clinics and Private Practice for a number of years. Emma is a qualified STOTT Reformer and Mat Pilates instructor and is a real Pilates enthusiast. Emma teaches Pilates classes weekly as well as 1;1 Reformer and Mat classes. Emma has also completed her Level 1 Crossfit Coaching Examinations and has a very keen interest in Strength and Conditioning. Emma is a strong advocate to provide patient autonomy in their rehabilitation journey.
Since graduating, Emma has a keen interest in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and has trained extensively in Manual Therapy, Biomechanical Dysfunction, Dry Needling and Exercise Based Rehabilitation.
Emma believes exercise is the key to good health and her training in Pilates and Strength and conditioning lends her the tools to help educate her patients in achieving this goal. Outside of work and physiotherapy, Emma enjoys all sports in particular CrossFit, Reformer Pilates, Cycling, Running and Swimming.
Emma graduated from UCD in 2014 with an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy. As part of her degree, Emma travelled to India for two summers where she volunteered as a student physiotherapist in an orphanage helping with the care of children living with neurodevelopmental disorders.
